چکیده
The high penetration of renewable energy into distribution networks poses increasing challenges on voltage control. To address this issue, paper presents a double-layer stochastic model predictive control algorithm to regulate profile in active networks. In the proposed algorithm, regulation is achieved by coordination an upper layer controller and lower controller. layer, number operation mechanical devices, including transformer with on-load tap changer capacitor banks, minimized hourly timescale. minimizes power curtailments losses period 5 min. utilizes not only reactive control, but also curtailment bus voltages. addition, devices distributed generations are controlled two different timescales. Case studies modified IEEE-33 system demonstrate that compared traditional two-stage can achieve improvement 8.05% 7.43%, respectively.

This paper compares fault position and Monte Carlo methods as the most common methods in stochastic assessment of voltage sags. To compare their abilities, symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults with different probability distribution of fault positions along the lines are applied in a test system. The voltage sag magnitude in different nodes of test system is calculated. The problem with the...
متن کاملDynamic voltage stability of a distribution system with high penetration
This paper presents the impact of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) generator on dynamic voltage stability of a power distribution system by considering solar intermittency, PV penetration level, and contingencies such as line outage and load increase. The IEEE 13 node test feeder is used as a test system, and a solar PV of 0.48 kV/0.5 MVA is integrated into the test system. Test results show th...
متن کاملOptimal Sitting, Sizing, and Operation of Batteries and Passive Filters to Mitigate Over-voltage and Harmonic Problems in Distribution Networks with High Photovoltaic Penetration
Photovoltaic systems (PVs), despite their many advantages, may have effects such as power quality issues (voltage and harmonics increase), short-circuits level increase, protection issues, and transient stability for network. Some of these effects are due to the high PV penetration, which encounters the network with the over-voltage and harmonics problems. In this paper, the location, size and ...
